The project "AKA-60" has
appeared on light in 1967-1968 years. Before this time in USSR
was already issued in manufacture the respiratory device IDA-64
working on a principle CCR. IDA-64 allowed the diver to be
immersed on depth of 15-18 meters, but soon there was a necessity
to create devices allowing to be immersed on depths of 35-40
meters and ensuring safe stay of the diver on depth. As IDA-64
worked on pure(clean) oxygen, the decision on creation of the
device of nitrogen, working on a gas mix, and oxygen was
accepted. So the device AKA-60 has appeared.
But unfortunately after an output(exit) by first, experimental party(set) (10 devices) in 1971 all works were stopped. The reason has appeared occurrence is new models of the device combining in itself of quality IDA-64 and AKA-60. It was legendary IDA-72.
The years have passed and the project AKA-60 have recollected in 1985, and at once in the same year there was new, an advanced model under the old name. The tests of ten devices have passed well, and in 1988 by the special order " of northern fleet " 80 complete sets were issued.
For today I know that all was issued from manufacture about 120 complete sets. Official date of birth AKA-60 is the 1985.
The description of the device AKA-60.
The device AKA-60 concerns to a category individual underwater is isolated of respiratory devices (rebreathers SCR). AKA-60 works on a constant flow nitrogen - oxygen mix with the contents 50 % of oxygen with regeneration of exhaled gas. The device intends for maintenance of breath under water on depths up to 40 meters.
Characteristics.
1. The duration of work of the device on depths makes:
- That 0 up to 25m - 2 hours;
- From 25 up to 30m - 1,5 hours;
- From 30 up to 40m - 1 hour.
2. The device is made of antimagnetic materials. The magnetic intensity of the device makes 3 scales on distance 100mm.
3. Working pressure of a reducer 6 - 7bar at pressure in the tank 180 - 200bar.
4. The constant submission of a gas mix in ground conditions makes 6,5 - 8 litres one minute.
5. The device is completed with two tanks on working pressure 200bar of capacity till 3 litres everyone.
6. Pressure of a beginning of opening of the safety valve of a reducer 12 - 18bar.
7. The inclusion of an emergency signal occurs at fall of pressure in tanks up to 40 - 20bar.
8. Of weight of the device with an empty box of an absorber and tanks with pressure no more 40bar makes 23 kgs.
9. Capacity of a box of an absorber 2,2kg.
10. Dimensions of the device 620 \ 400 \ 195 mm.
