s hardware <dg8fz @ww $89C151dg8fz #0 contra catvi : hallo, i'm ready with my catv-instalation. caused by a cable-chanel within the 144Mhz band i had to work quite exact. here are the tips i can give you : - only use the material with the highest protection against reradiation that you can mount. dont use the old stuff you find in the wall ! - dont hurt the cable-shelt - take care of the bending radius - wrap wire arrout the plait before claw-fixing to protect the thin alu-shield !!! and take care of a good shield-connection. - dont use factory-installed connection-cables - use low signal at each cable. 75db is a bad screening factor but you can live with using low signals. - use for every socket an extra cable ! - split the power just after the amplfier - if several cabels run the same way : mount them the way that their radiation on our band's is killing itself. - dont use a stronger tv-signal than you need - mount under signal, take a reveiver with you to find leaks at the moment. - if that's not enouth you have to lockout the CATV-station 'transmitting' on our band by using a filter. 73 de karl (dg8fz @db0sao.deu.eu) 15.dec.89 ***end
